Please join us for an afternoon of songs and stories dedicated to remembering and celebrating Steve Nelson -- his life, his music and his love of the world and everything (or most things) in it.
We will gather on Saturday, June 15, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Eastworks, the building in Easthampton, Mass., where Steve spent the last 15 years of his life surrounded by a remarkable and loving community of friends, fellow artists and craftspeople. The celebration will be followed by a reception with light refreshments.
For those who would like to speak -- to offer reflections, tell stories, read poems, or anything else -- we welcome your contributions, whether planned or spontaneous.
For those who would like to perform, we ask that you choose a song or two of Steve's to play. We will provide a keyboard or piano and a selection of guitars, with light amplification. You're welcome to bring your own instruments too.
And for those who wish to join but not stand up in front of a group, we welcome you too. As Steve always said, some people have a way with words, others ... not have way.
